If you liked seeing Kristen Stewart suit up in medieval armor and speak with an English accent in last year's gothic-awesome fairytale reboot of "Snow White and the Hunstman," then you're gonna like the heck out of this: Universal has officially confirmed that the actress will star in the film's sequel, which is very definitely in development for the coming year. Just Jared has the direct scoop from studio chairman Adam Fogelson, who announced the news yesterday at CinemaCon.
The announcement comes on the heels of much speculation about Kristen having been dropped from the sequel last year—a rumor that persisted despite repeated reminders from basically everybody involved that it was all a bunch of horse biscuits. (Director Rupert Sanders, on the other hand, will not be returning.)
But maybe this latest info, combined with the news of a 2015 release date, will be enough to convince even the most skeptical skeptics that this is actually happening! At which point we can move on to more important questions like "Will Chris Hemsworth return for the sequel?" and "Will Chris Hemsworth return for the sequel with no shirt on?" and "Can we get a guarantee of at least 15 uninterrupted minutes of shirtless screen time for Chris Hemsworth, because that would be great, please and thank you?"
Are you glad to see KStew back on board with the "Snow White and the Huntsman" franchise?
